Cemetery Koenigsberg 1938

What other holiday walks could Jews take when “Für Arier” was written in the parks and on the park benches?
Daniel Edel opened his photo album for us. The photo shows his great-grandfather Max Moritz Wartelsky, his youngest daughter Marion and his wife Jenny nee Littmann at Pentecoast 1938 on the Jewish sports field in Königsberg, which was next to the new cemetery with the cemetery hall of Erich Mendelssohn. Margot Neumann and Mrs. Prizgauer can also be seen on the left of the photo. We chose this picture because it expresses how Jews, despite great discriminations, tried to continue to live their lives with dignity.
