Michael Wieck passed away at Feb 27 2021 – may his memory be blessed.

A moving moment for all visitors to the Mendelsohn House was the final message when Michael Wieck read his “Credo”, the message of the Holocaust victims. The reactions showed that Michael Wieck was reaching out to the hearts of the people who now live in the former southern East Prussia. He was able to impressively convey his fate of gradual deprivation of rights and persecution and the subsequent suffering under the conquerors of Königberg to the public. He felt the desire to thank the Poles, who helped him to survive by giving him food in that times. For Michael Wieck and the partly from far away traveled this was an intensive and valuable evening.
