February 2022 Tombstone found in Kaliningrad.
Helena Landsberg née Simonsohn (1810 Lissa – 1874 Königsberg) was buried in the Tragheim Cemetery, the first Jewish cemetery in Königsberg (from 1704). It was located on the northern edge of the city at the time of its establishment and existed until the 1970s. Recently, the stone was rediscovered in another place in the city. The photo was sent to a member of the Kaliningrad Jewish Community. Two of Helene’s daughters married into the large East Prussian Jewish Eichelbaum family.
Photos from the last existing tombstones at the Old Jewish cemetery 1875-1928 in Kaliningrad (former Königsberg) , taken in March 2007, Nov 2018, Jan 2020, Jan 2021 and Nov 2023.
