Paulina Mendelsohn (born 1882 in Allenstein), married in 1898 the owner of the large shop, the merchant Louis Simonson. At that time, wedding pictures were not yet common. For the engagement one gave each other a picture. The photo of Paulina was probably taken on this occasion.
