Books Synagogue Koenigsberg

As early as the summer of 1938, Nazi authorities ordered that all Jewish libraries be registered. The order for the Reichspogromnacht also meant that archive material from the synagogues had to be secured immediately.

But what really happened to the books? The library of Rabbi Dunner from Königsberg was confiscated during pogrom night. But the synagogue library was still largely existing on 10th November, as the photo above shows.
