Kaliningrad / Königsberg
In January 2020 we were able to take a look at the shell of the mikveh, which is located in the basement of the recently inaugurated synagogue in Kaliningrad. Now only a little more than 15.000 EUR are missing to complete this important facility of the immersion bath for the Jewish community life. We hope to find 3 donors in Germany or other countries who can raise this amount with 5.000 EUR each. Since the war Königsberg had no synagogue and no mikveh. Now the city of Kaliningrad has got a centre for a Jewish identity as a community again. Let’s hope to be able to further complete the dream that has recently come true.
